Build Your Network Marketing Business Using Junk Mail
Sometimes there are solutions or strategies right under your nose. Today’s network marketers have to be creative and take advantage of every opportunity they can find. At a recent conference for MLM Lead System PRO, which is a lead generation and marketing training system that a lot of top Internet marketers are really killing it with these days, after the company’s founders spoke, a guest speaker really created a buzz. That is one of the best things about attending business conferences. You never know when someone will be speaking that gives you unbelievable value.
This guest speaker, who is one of the system leaders, told how he has been using junk mail and getting 15 to 20 people enrolled per year. That doesn’t sound like much but, when you consider how little time it takes and the cost, every little bit adds up. He doesn’t even have any time in it because he gets his kids to do it for him. He makes it part of their chores for earning their allowance.
When he goes through his mail he takes out all the promotional envelopes that are sent to him that say “No postage necessary when mailed in the United States” and puts them in a stack.
Whoever sent these, of course, expects you to fill out your application and send it back. But, since it was delivered to your mailbox, you can do with it as you please.
Why not use these free marketing tools that someone graciously supplied you with? You have to sort your mail anyway. You can put your own ad in the envelope and mail it back.
The person who opens these envelopes is a mail clerk stuck in a mail room and may be looking for a better way to earn a living. What better way to stick it to those companies that send out junk mail than to recruit their mail clerks into your business using their postage paid envelopes?
The ad you use could be a business card or a handwritten note but an even more professional ad would be a drop card. This is custom printed, so it is about your business and it is called a drop card because, if you dropped it, most people will, out of curiosity, pick it up.
The ones I use look like a folded $100 bill. They are 2/3rds the length of a real bill so when you fold them in half, they look like a bill that has been folded in thirds.
Most people get loads of junk mail daily so you would have plenty of chances to use this strategy. You must take every chance you can to get yourself out there in a consistent manner when it comes to building a network marketing business.
Wouldn’t it get your attention? That is why it is a great tool. Nobody can pass up, what appears to be, free money. Most of the time, people will keep it even after they know it is fake. Then it may get seen by a friend. Or, they may throw it down, and now it is viral in the wind. You never know what will come of something like that when it goes viral.
So, what would you do if you saw a $100 bill laying on the ground? If you didn’t say “pick it up” you would need your head examined. You pick it up and unfold it and inside it says something like this: “Disappointed? Don’t be! I can show you how to earn 20 to 30 real ones per month.”, ” Start your own home based business and Fire you boss”, “The #1 home based business period.”
You would also put your email and your website URL in there. There are hundreds of uses for these drop cards. All you have to do is be creative and keep some with you at all times. Sometimes you can even get to see someone pick them up. It is hilarious to watch some of the reactions that people have when they think they have found a $100 bill on the ground.
Some people even use them as business cards. You can have whatever you want printed on the inside because they are custom made. A business card like this would get some attention. It would be pretty unique. In advertising, uniqueness is much sought after.
Gems like this do not come around often and when they do, you just know it is a perfect strategy. With a small investment of ordering drop cards you can have all you need to implement this strategy. They are so versatile it would be easy to think of many more uses for them too.
